About this policy

This policy explains how the Carter BNW website handles your information. Carter BNW is the black-and-white photography practice of John Carter, based in Melbourne, Australia. If you have any questions, email bnw.carter@gmail.com.

What this site collects

The site only collects the information you choose to type into the contact form: your name, your email address, the type of enquiry you select, and your message. There are no accounts, no cookies, no tracking pixels, and no advertising networks on this site.

This is currently a preview build, and the contact form does not send or store anything yet. The section below describes how it will work once the site is live.

Where your enquiry goes

When the site is live and you send the contact form, your details are delivered to John by email so he can reply to you. The website is built and hosted by Ready Set Websites, so your message may pass through their secure hosting and email delivery on the way. Your details are used only to respond to your enquiry, and are never sold, published, or shared with anyone else.

Analytics

This site does not use analytics or any visitor tracking at this time. If a privacy-friendly, cookie-free page counter is ever added, this policy will be updated to say so.

Payments

The website never collects card numbers or bank details. Sittings, commissions and prints are arranged by enquiry, and any payment is handled separately — for example by invoice or a secure payment link — each with its own protections.

Your rights

You can ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted at any time. Just email bnw.carter@gmail.com and it will be actioned promptly. Carter BNW aims to handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
