The eye behind Carter BNW.
I started on the street — the laneways, the markets, the last train home — and I never really left it. Black and white is how I see: strip out the colour and you're left with the light, the gesture, the moment that actually mattered.
Whether it's a portrait sitting, an event or a commission, I work the same way — quietly, in available light, chasing the honest frame rather than the posed one. I'd rather hand you one photograph you'll keep for years than a hundred you'll scroll past.
